A Bow Hunting Paradise

We open our season with a bow hunting paradise. The ranch has water, which leads to bogs, which this time of year, provide elk. We have a wide variety of terrain with newly forested patches of timber and lush meadows as well as big canyons. Our ranch holds elk.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife estimates the herd in our area at 3,000 head. Ruggs Ranch is in the middle of this area.

The bow hunt also has the rut going on. With our terrain and vegetation, you’re shooting from 10 to 40 yards. The best part to all of this is we book only a limited number of hunters. You will get ample opportunities at a nice bull. Our guides are also employees of the ranch and work here year-round. They know every nook and cranny of the ranch.

We set the elk camps up a month before to the season opening. This ensures that the elk will not be disturbed prior to your arrival. Our ranch is all private hunting—we control who goes in and out. Our bow hunting success rate is high due to the fact we manage the ranch like a refuge.

Arguably the best hunt sold in America today.  Your hunting our private ranch with a limited number of hunters for branch antlered elk.  Our camps are first rate, our guides are the best in the business.  This hunt has never not yielded 100% success. The herd of elk on our ranch during this season is the largest herd in Central Oregon on private land.  We also can brag on the fact that as of this printing, there are no reported wolf packs in Central Oregon.  The hunting is great!
